Roadmap and Stakeholder Communication

Purpose

This page describes how, when and who should manage the KaaS Roadmap, published internally on the Global IT Integration: KaaS Roadmap SharePoint page.

It also contains an overview and approach for the different channels used to communicate with (internal) stakeholders.

Roadmap on SharePoint

The Roadmap is created and updated via a PowerPoint slide deck located on the Global Integration SharePoint page here (Documents > KaaS Onboarding > KaaS.Roadmap.pptx)

The Roadmap should be updated at least monthly by the Product Owner or delegate (remember to update the 'last updated' text on the image, to show the audience relevance). The features on the roadmap should be reflected in the ADO backlog and priorities.

Any Novo Nordisk employee can also submit feature requests via the roadmap SharePoint page, which should be checked, assessed and prioritized when updating. These are submitted into the page and can also be viewed from the list - Global Integrations - User-submitted Feature Requests

Stakeholder Communication

This section describes the different communication channels to internal stakeholders. It is the responsibility of the Product Owner and Service Manager (or delegate) to coordinate communication to stakeholders.

Viva Engage (formerly Yammer)

The Viva Engage - KaaS (Kafka as a Service) community requires sign-up, and is the location where the following type of information is communicated;

  • Major incidents and interruptions to service
  • Significant feature improvements - e.g. new platform services or template updates

Service Evaluation & Feedback Survey

The Kafka Platform Team will create a feedback survey to assess quality and scope of services, engagement and communication. The survey should capture input of the users of the platform at least annually.

Future community building and stakeholder mapping

A series of efforts has been prioritized to start building out stakeholder engagement and awareness of the platform offerings and capabilities;

  • Map out business domains solutions and stakeholders (architects, developers, analysts, project leads and sponsors) to outline areas of interest.
  • Perform and capture 'event storming' events supported by Confluent Professional Services with select business domains, to help build up knowledge and reference material for demonstrating and educating on event driven benefits
  • Create presentations/webinars about 'Global Integration' and Platform offerings and reference use-cases. Target select audiences identified earlier. Scope can be both in creating awareness and setting requirements for new solutions/vendors and enabling existing solutions to support data and automation demands
