User access requests - novoAccess

Purpose

The purpose of this page is to describe how user access requests to KaaS are handled in novoAccess.

Approval Flow

User Request --> Manager approval --> OwnerGrp : Kafka as a Service approval --> ApproverGrp : Kafka as a Service - <namespace>

Note! For KaaS Platform Team accesses, there is no ApproverGrp step.

Rationale

• Manager approval must be part of production accesses, according to novoAccess setup and central guidelines
• There is no support for only Manager + ApproverGrp approval flow
• OwnerGrp : Kafka as a Service approval should approve any incoming requests
• It is the LOB Team/namespace members of the approverGrp who have the final approval in namespace user onboarding
  • ApproverGrps manage their own members in novoAccess
